How to Properly Define a Modbus RS485 Bus

If you are using one of our Modbus Stack Chips (such as the IS4310) or any other brand with the RS485 electrical interface, be sure to use a daisy-chain bus topology. Failing to do so can result in reduced bus distance, communication errors, or signal integrity issues. This recommendation applies to any Modbus device, chip, or system that uses RS485.
